چکیده

Structure-based forest management (SBFM) is a method for improving structure and quality based on nearest-neighbor analysis. Stand spatial directly affects the health stability of ecosystems. Research effects SBFM distribution parameters needed to provide scientific basis further development implementation technology in forestry. The present study was conducted six permanent plots (20 m × 20 m) established within Platycladus orientalis (L.) Franco plantation Beijing, China. Changes stand (SSSPs) were evaluated managed control at three time points: before after 2 7 years SBFM. results showed that gradually accelerated P. toward random pattern, reaching significant difference years. promoted growth medium dominant trees, with between stands It led slight increase mingling compared control, although no differences observed treatments. generally decreased proportions disadvantageous microstructures (disadvantaged trees non-randomly distributed, disadvantaged low degree mingling, distributed mingling). also improved ratio torch (R2) units dumbbell (R1) units, forest. this suggest optimized China, conducive tree productivity.

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Forest Stand Structure and Development: Implications for Forest Management

A general premise of forest managers is that modern silviculture should be based, in large part, on natural disturbance patterns and species' adaptations to these disturbances. An understanding of forest stand dynamics is therefore a prerequisite to sound forest management. This paper provides a brief overview of forest stand development, stand structures, and disturbance regimes and discusses ...
